7 of the best Farmers markets in Perth

7 of the best farmers markets in perth

We are big fans of fresh fruit and vegetables, not to mention choosing eco-friendly and all natural options where possible. Aside from skipping the plastic packaging to help save the environment, we also love that markets encourage being in nature and surrounding yourself with wonderful friends (new and and old) as well as being in the community. We love Perth farmers markets A LOT… can you tell?! Here are our top 7 farmers markets we encourage you to pay a visit:

Subiaco Farmers Market

Saturdays from 8am—12pm in Subiaco

I just love the Subiaco farmers market which is held at the Subiaco Primary School! It is a very welcoming place to shop for wonderful produce and gourmet foods, enjoy fresh foods for breakfast or brunch and listen to talented entertainers.

Freo Farmers Market

Sundays from 8am—12pm in Beaconsfield

The Freo Farmers Market is such a lovely place to settle in under the trees and enjoy live music, good coffee and a tasty spanakopita from Tom the Greek! The market on the first Sunday of each month is a bigger market with jewellery, books, homewares, handmade clothing and so much more!

Western Farmers Markets

Sundays from 8am—12pm in Palmyra

The Western Farmers Markets is so lovely! I am obsessed with the vegan ice cream van and finding the little homewares stores divine. I have also found the fruit and vegetables, bread and cupcakes to be quite delicious also. Beware of all the adorable dogs, you may want to stay all day cuddling people’s pets. 😀

Mount Claremont Farmers Market

Saturdays from 7:30—11:30am in Mount Claremont

There are over 45 stalls at the Mt Claremont Farmers Market and you can load up on tasty french pastries, fresh fruit and vegetables, breads, dairy products, olive oils, dessert and my favourites… FLOWERS! Oh yes! Buy some for yourself for an extra special Sunday treat.

Vic Park Market

Sundays from 8am—12pm in East Victoria Park

ThVic Park Market boast shade and ambience with locally sourced produce, gourmet foods and artisan products. I have visited this place many times and have been impressed with the food stalls and live music. I love taking my shoes off and enjoying having my feet on the grass while chilling with a fresh juice.

Perth City Farm Markets

Saturdays from 8am—12pm in East Perth

If you haven’t been to the Perth City Farm Markets, I highly recommend going along. Have a bite to eat at the cafe and bring your reusable bags to fill up with organic and biodynamic produce (the freshest of fruit and vegetables). Also keep an eye out for other wonderful health foods and skincare products – it’s your perfect one-stop shop!

Stirling Farmers Markets

Sundays from 7:30—11:30am in Stirling

If you are up north of the city (or wanting an enjoyable day out), I highly recommend going to the Stirling Farmers Market. Enjoy shopping for local produce, baked goods, honey, desserts, pastries, jams, eggs, honey, cheese and gorgeous flowers.
